MY BIO
As an organised and creative individual, attention to detail and multitasking comes naturally to me. As a go-getter, I am confident to approach inspiring individuals and show my creative ambitions in an approachable manner. I am dedicated to luxury knitwear, and have discovered skills in writing and luxury fibres through work experience. I learn best through a hands-on approach, especially in the digital arena as this is a strength I have identified through my studies, which I would love to pursue further.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Achievements
During my time at university, I discovered mindfulness to enhance my wellbeing. I then felt so inspired by this, I decided to use it for my Honours degree collection of knitted textiles. I have discovered my true style and passion. I feel ambitious to discover my path on combining mindful techniques into knitted textiles & garments, and furthermore gained a bursary from The Worshipful Company of Framework Knitters to support my Honours year collection. Recently, I was also awarded a Commendation for use of merino wool in a knitwear project, sponsored by The Woolmark Company in the Bradford Textile Society Competition 2019, and later awarded the Special Award by Campaign for Wool for creating a design representing the beauty of wool. I was delighted to then be awarded a first prize from The Worshipful Company of Dyers.

SCARLET OPUS LTD
July - August 2018
In summer 2018 I completed two internships with Scarlet Opus working closely with Victoria, the owner of this trend forecasting company. I prepared products for exhibition display for Decor + Design '18, as well as producing professional labels for said products. I also edited a blog post for their website.
I assisted Victoria to compare & choose specific fabrics, colours and finishes for a pleather manufacturer’s SS19/20 & AW19/20 collections. I followed briefs to research and use Photoshop to create trend boards & visuals for a second blog post, followed by producing and editing scripts for other exhibitions.
DONNA WILSON
July 2017
Through an internship at Donna Wilson in 2017, I began to appreciate the value of team working, multi-tasking, necessary good house-keeping of a studio office, and the multiple tasks required to take a design concept to finished product. I was also given free reign to design a tag for their studio-made products, which was approved by Donna herself and is now being used and attached to products.

JOHN LEWIS PARTNERSHIP
November 2014Â - May 2017
A long-term job for me as a Furnishing Fabrics assistant, taking responsibility with teaching new colleagues the areas of the department and specs of products. The experience of working to serve the public and appreciating everything that is necessary to achieve a sale, has been very useful training. I managed tills, handled cash, encouraged sales from beginning to end with personal recommendations and advice. I also ensured a clean and tidy workspace, as well as learning about all products with their technicalities to recommend to customers for required use. As well as this, I shadowed various job roles, such as Visual Merchandising.
